Also Sands teaches you the tools through meditation and self care exercises to be present and aware in all life’s situations. Sessions are performed on a floor mat with the client dressed in comfortable loose clothing.

Thai Massage

Traditional Thai Massage, which evolved from the ancient healing traditions of Ayurveda and Thai Buddhism, leads to greater physical awareness and spiritual energy. The practitioner uses hands, feet, arms, and legs to guide the recipient through a series of yoga postures that involve fluid movements, gentle stretching, and breathwork. Performed on a floor mat in comfortable clothes, this assisted yoga creates a therapeutic “dance,” incorporating rhythmic motion,  palming,  and thumbing along energy lines to evoke emotional calm and deep relaxation.

Our Thai Massage service is available in our Evanston studio or at your home.

Shiatsu literally means finger pressure. The principles of Shiatsu are in line with the ancient healing practices of acupuncture. The qi* in our bodies flows through channels called meridians. Meridians link the chi of all organs of the body to elicit free flow of energy, allowing for harmonious internal and external environments. Acupuncturists use needles to access these channels , whereas Shiatsu therapists use finger pressure.

Shiatsu is available in our Evanston studio or at your home.
